New Home Delivery Service
With online grocery shopping at an all-time high, demand for Delivery and Collection slots across Cork SuperValu stores are snapped up as soon as they are released on the SuperValu website. To help the vulnerable and those who are self-isolating get what they need, SuperValu Merchant’s Quay have launched a new Home Delivery and Store Collection service.
From Friday 24th April, SuperValu Merchant’s Quay will have two vans on the road delivering essential shopping to customers, delivering to areas including Dillions Cross, Montenotte, St. Luke’s, Sundays Well, Tivoli, Bishopstown, Douglas, Maryborough, Togher and Wilton.
For the safety of customers and staff members, SuperValu have introduced social distancing measures, sanitising guidelines and plastic liners for crates so customers don’t need to worry.
SuperValu drivers will deliver the customers shopping outside their homes but won’t enter the premises. Elderly, less abled or injured customers can add a note to their online order requesting assistance and SuperValu drivers will bring their shopping indoors while observing social distancing guidelines.
To order online, customers must do the following:
- Go to the Shopping section on ie and register or login.
- Choose Delivery or Click & Collect and select SuperValu Merchant’s Quay.
- Choose an available slot.
- Add items to your trolley and check out.
SuperValu also offer a Click and Collect service, where customers can order their groceries online, they will be handpicked with care by SuperValu staff and safely packed away to be collected at a time that suits.
Store Collection is contactless and there is a dedicated Park & Pick Up area at the riverside entrance of the Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, where customers can stay in their car and call the store to let them know they are outside. A member of SuperValu staff will then bring the customers shopping to their car and load it into their boot.
Andrew Fallon, at SuperValu Merchant’s Quay said, “We are delighted to announce these new services to help support our customers in this time of need. We are acutely aware of the number of people who are self-isolating or elderly and physically can’t come in store, and our new Home Delivery service will greatly benefit the people in our community. We hope that this offers some reassurance to people over the coming weeks that we are here for them and will support in any way we can.”
